DualBlist allows us to manage SPD much more efficiently than manually.<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Condon Pharmacy in Badalona<\/a><\/strong> is a neighborhood pharmacy, whose patients have an average age of 55-60 years old. It is a patient-focused care pharmacy<\/strong>, offering a wide range of services (pharmacotherapeutic monitoring, analysis of health parameters, dietary control, magistral formulation, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For several years, they have been offering the Personalized Dosage System (MDS)<\/strong>, a pharmaceutical care service aimed at optimizing the correct use of medications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, they offered the MDS service without any technological support. Between three pharmacy employees, they manually organized the treatments of about 75 patients each week<\/strong>. According to Jordi Lobelle<\/strong>, head of the SPD at Condon Pharmacy, “one of the main difficulties of the service was the complex management of prescriptions and stocks prior to the preparation of the MDS,”<\/em><\/strong> which involved a lot of time and paperwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of 2020, following the departure of one of the three employees in charge of the SPD, they decided to take the plunge and implement DualBlist<\/strong><\/a> in the pharmacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why did you choose DualBlist? The most relevant factor in the decision was the integration with the Nixfarma MDS program<\/strong>, which facilitates comprehensive patient management. In addition, they took into account that the blister format<\/strong> was already familiar to their patients and would not pose a problem of adaptation for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The semi-automation of the MDS with DualBlist has allowed them to maintain the volume of patients assigned to the service, even with one less employee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
